Larry Johannessen Named Director of Undergraduate Studies

Associate Professor Larry Johannessen now serves our department as the Director of Undergraduate Studies. After several stints in administration at other universities, Johannessen says that he came to NIU determined to teach and not to be an administrator. But he admits he is glad that he was offered an opportunity to head up our undergraduate program. He finds the department’s office staff to be “professional and excellent to work with.” He truly appreciates learning about all the different areas of undergraduate study offered by our department. And finally, he enjoys working with students as they determine their path through school.
