Home Welcome to the Xi Delta chapter of the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society located at Northern Illinois University. Xi Delta has been a leader in service projects for many years and enjoys a highly visible status and excellent reputation both within the English Department and the university itself.Xi Delta boasts a broad member base ranging from undergraduates to graduate students, specializing in literature, education, linguistics, and rhetoric. Our members are among the best students university-wide and enjoy many service, social, and academic opportunities as a result of their membership. The Xi Delta page is also home to the Sigma Tau Delta Illinois Web Ring (IWR). The IWR's goal is to assist Illinois chapters of Sigma Tau Delta in creating, maintaining, and improving chapter websites by providing tutorials, tech support, a discussion board, and links to web design resources. As an entirely student-run organization, the members and officers of Sigma Tau Delta Xi Delta gain a great deal of experience in leadership, teamwork, and managing organizations.
