A few weeks ago, you received a grade estimate on your work in the first third of the semester.  Mid-semester is next week. You've done several more activities, completed a major, multiple-draft assignment, and you have begun another project--so please write a 2-page evaluation of what level you think you are now achieving.  Identify and grade yourself on at least 4 major course objectives that you feel we've addressed so far.  Provide specific evidence of why you assign yourself such grades, referring to assignments and activities we've done.  Be sure to check the grading policy posted on our course website, so you can see how the standards back up what grade you feel you are earning.  You may want to suggest adding other standards to the policy that I may have overlooked.  Consider the criteria that the class hand-outs have set for our activities and assignments.  Keep in mind: your grade will be affected by whether you’ve done all assignments and are participating well in class.  I will carefully read your self-evaluation and let you know if you’ve estimated your grade accurately.
