The goal of Networked Writing and Research (NWR) is to support the use of technology in composition courses for Northern Illinois University. We also maintain a dedicated computer lab for English graduate assistants in Reavis Hall. More than a tech support center, the NWR also hosts a series of workshops and lectures intended to showcase the wide variety of technological advances available for instructors. Please stop by and visit us! |

Every month the First Year Composition Program hosts an in-house faculty development workshop or presentation. These workshops address a wide range of topics including "Mini-Lesson Fair," "This I Believe," Looks at Books," "Screencasting," and of course the ever popular "Creative First Friday" at which our esteemed faculty share their own creative work. |

The University Writing Center at Stevenson Towers South, Lower Level is a place for all writers at Northern Illinois University, undergraduates, graduates, staff, and even faculty, to talk about their writing with trained consultants, one-on-one.
