The First Year Composition Program at NIU prides itself on the amount and quality of training and resources we give our teachers of composition.
Graduate student teachers new to the program receive a full year of instruction in ENGL 600, while more experienced teachers benefit from our teacher training support lab and from the variety of support services offered both within and outside of the department from such facilities as the Faculty Development and Instructional Design Center.
