II. Logs
At the beginning
of each new semester, you will receive a log sheet for each student you
tutor. Fill out the top at the first meeting, being sure the student's
phone number is correct. For each week's entry, briefly note what
the student worked on to serve as a reminder for discussion the following
week and to help with midterm and end-of-term reports. (Midterm and
final reports are concerned with attendance, participation in and preparation
for the workshop, and areas of writing strength and weakness.) If
you substitute for other tutors, be sure to fill in their logs to keep
them apprised of the work completed.
For ease of organization,
order your logs by either weekly appointment day and hour or by alphabet.
Then, staple the logs together, so you won't have to shuffle papers every
hour.
