| Detailed Course Description: This course studies literature from the Tudor Period (1485-1609) excluding Shakespeare’s plays and includes authors like Thomas More, Christopher Marlow, Philip Sidney, Edmund Spenser, and William Shakespeare. This course will approach 16th-century literature as fantasy literature, that is, that during this period writers created imaginary worlds, imaginary people, and imaginary relationships which still exist as models that people have tried to make real.
