Detailed Course Description:

This class will examine some of the most representative works from 1920 to 1960, with emphasis on the modernist period.

 

Course Requirements:

Two analytical essays (5-7 pages) typed using the MLA style (30% each); Ten quizzes (40% of grade).

D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye (1945); Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie (1945)
