| Detailed Course Description: This course is an introduction to research methodologies in linguistics, including qualitative and quantitative research methods. It addresses general theoretical and practical questions about research and covers the principal means of selecting, collecting, and analyzing data and structuring research papers in accordance with the scientific principles. Topics discussed include but are not limited to the development of research questions, standards of evidence, research ethics, ethnography, field methods, and strategies for writing articles and essays. |
