Graduate Studies in British and American Literature
Description
A focus on British and American literature involves intensive study of a wide range of texts, with many courses from which to choose. The program is designed for those who wish to focus on literature and literary criticism, and who want a traditional master's program.
Tracks
Track I: at least 30 hours required and foreign language requirement
Track II: at least 36 hours required
Required Courses
All courses can be taken for three semester hours of credit unless otherwise indicated.
- English 601 Bibliography and Methods of Research
- Course work in literature, with consent of adviser (24 hrs., Track I; 27 hrs., Track II)
- Course work in non-literature courses (3 hrs., Track I; 6 hrs., Track II)
