Register Online January 29, 2002: For those who wish to do so, we now have a means of registering for the conference online . If you prefer to register by mail, phone, or FAX, you can still do so by printing a copy of the form that you find here and sending the completed form by whichever method. More Lodging and Directions Updates January 29, 2002: We have added some hotel rates here in DeKalb to our Lodging information page (still more to come). Additionally, we have added two maps to the Directions section, including a map of the Northern Illinois area and a Campus Map . Register by Mail, Phone or FAX January 20, 2002: We are now beginning to take registrations for this year's conference. All registration information can be found here as well as a printable registration form for those who wish to mail or FAX their registration information. Lodging and Directions Info Updates January 14, 2002: We have updated some information on getting to DeKalb from the airports here in Illinois. Also, we now have some more up to date information on finding lodging in the city of DeKalb or its neighboring town Sycamore. You'll also find details on eating , drinking , and other assorted merriment in that section. Film: DeKalb Stories Information on this year's film by Jeffrey Chown is now available at Film: DeKalb Stories . Call for Papers This year's Call for Papers is now available. Please check it out for details concerning submission guidelines. Keynote Speaker: Joe Carroll September 1, 2001: We are pleased to announce the selection of this year's keynote speaker for the 2002 conference. Dr. Joe Carroll from the University of Missouri-St. Louis will speak this year on a Darwinian-based literary criticism in opposition to the dominant poststructuralist critical discourse of recent years. You can find more information about Dr. Carroll and his presentation on our Keynote Speakers page . Welcome August 25, 2001: Welcome once more to the home page of the annually held conference on film, language and literature held at Northern Illinois University. We are still in the planning stages for next year's conference, but please check back for more information later this year.
