9 AM: Presenter Introductions:  Michael Day, Nancy Patterson, Rich Rice, and Pat Schulze

9:15: Getting to know YOU: Online Introductions using WebBoard.
 

  1. Log in to Michael Day's WebBoard at Northern Illinois University.
  2. Click on NEW USER and fill out only the boxes with red circles next to them.
  3. Choose a user name something like your real name, and a password that you will remember, and leave USE FRAMES checked.
  4. Then click on CREATE.
  5. Find our ACE 2003 Workshop Conference and read the first posting, WELCOME AND INSTRUCTIONS.
  6. Follow the instructions to introduce yourself and explain how you would or would not use a communication technology like WebBoard with your students.
  7. When done, click on POST (in the right side of the window, NOT at the upper left), REFRESH, and read the responses of other workshop participants.
  8. Finally, find a posting that doesn't have a + next to it, and respond to at least one other person.
