Email Goofs, Gaffes, and Giraffes:

I'm collecting stories and reflection for a CW Online piece on email and
community, and hoped some of you would be willing to share with me a tale or
two about  your most fabulously disastrous experiences in the land of the
email oops.

Goofs and Gaffes would include things like misdirected posts, or half-baked
meanderings you meant to save for further baking--or meant to delete as
hopelessly unbakeable--but accidentally sent, anyway, and perhaps to an
entire list.

Giraffes would be instances of times you've stuck your neck out, baring that
long and tempting jugular, to take a passionate stand on something of
special import to you, such as a pet project, theory, or principle.  Maybe
you, like me, have even ended up as giraffe flambé, from time to time.

If you have stories and reflections you're willing to share, please send
them to me at Kafkaz@kwom.com, and indicate whether you'd prefer to be named
or anonymous in my piece.  Naturally, I'm only interested in the tales you
can tell without naming or harming others (though joint stories would, of
course, be welcome).  Sometimes, the best relationships do begin less than
auspiciously!
