When Tayo is dreaming of the cattle it isn't until she whispers that he sees
them scatter. I think he was starting to feel whole again in real life and
then something small like a whisper happens and he feels like his mind just
scatters again. All of the pieces of his mind that he was starting to put
back together just scattering out like the cattle. I think his dream was a
signal to him that even though he felt like he was getting better, he wasn't
as close to being well as he wanted to think. Maybe just his minds way of
reminding him that he isn't completely healthy yet and that he should just
take it slow and heal.
