How Do I Use The Chat Function?
 

Introduction

Chatrooms can be an interesting way to do group assignments, and Webboard allows you to create chatrooms for each of your conferences.  However, chatrooms can be quite chaotic, so it is recommended that no more than 5 or 6 people use a chatroom at one time.  Setting up a chatroom is explained in Part One, Lesson 2: How do I create a conference?
Using the Chat function

Menu bar

To use the Chat function, follow the steps in the table below.
 
Step Action
1 Click on CHAT on the menu bar at the top of the screen.
2 Click on the name of the chatroom you want to enter.

Result: A chat window appears.
3 Type your message in the message line.
4 Hit [Enter] or click the SEND button to send the message.

Result: Your message appears in the chat window near the top of the screen.
