How to Use this Tutorial
This tutorial guides you through the process of downloading, editing and publishing your web site in order to construct a web site for your class.
Please read all the instructions on each page before completing the instructions. This will make the tutorial easier to understand.
This tutorial is designed to be read in a linear fashion. Use the directional arrows at the bottom of each page for navigation. The arrow pointing left directs you to the previous page, the arrow pointing right directs you to the next page, and the arrow pointing upward returns you to the Table of Contents.
You can construct a basic site or an interactive, dynamic site that will maximize your virtual classroom activities. Consider three guiding web design principles:
- You don't have to do everything at once; revise your course web site at your own pace.
- Fancier is not better. Your aim is to enhance your students' learning experience: avoid distraction from your pedagogical mission.
- Ask for help and use resources to best enhance your site's teaching potential.
